"Before I was introduced to the Wounded Heroes Fund I didn't know very many guys like myself. I was basically limited to my friend and truck gunner, Sal, who had lost his leg in the same accident that momentarily took my life. Going to events with the other guys from the Wounded Heroes Fund has been some of the best times of my life, it's great to be able and go out with people that understand what I've been through, who aren't afraid to talk to you because they don't know what to say. I am utterly grateful to have the people of the Wounded Heroes Fund in my life it wouldn't be the same without them."
