The Wounded Heroes Foundation and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago presents the 6th Annual Paralympics Military Sports Camp

6th Annual Paralympics Military Sports Camp
August 8-11, 2013
In partnership with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), the Wounded Heroes Foundation (WHF) is offering the 6th Annual Paralympics Military Sports Camp, a multi-day sports and recreation program for injured military personnel with physical disabilities.
The Paralympic Military Sports Camp brings together disabled veterans who have suffered amputation, paralysis, traumatic brain injury, blindness, severe burns and other disabling injuries during their military service. Participants work with US Paralympic athletes and elite coaches from around the country to acquire skills in sports like archery, judo, tennis, track, rock climbing, wheelchair basketball, rowing, swimming, and more.
Sports clinics are designed to provide these men and women with introductory experiences or advanced skill building opportunities, as well as the chance to improve self-confidence and to form vital social networks with their peers.
If interested, please use this link (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9BPVFMH) to sign up for the activities, days and times in which you are available to help for camp. A flyer and brochure for camp is attached with more information under documents. Once we receive the volunteer application (short and quick), we will be in touch with more specifics about your chosen activities and days.
