Get To Know Our Troops
They are our mothers and fathers, our co-workers and friends. They are our brothers, our sisters, our neighbors and distant relatives. They are American Soldiers. They swear an oath to protect our great nation from all threats, both foreign and domestic. They put their lives on hold, answer the call and head off to fight the wars that must be fought to defend our freedoms, preserve our national security and ensure the ability of each United States citizen to pursue their American dream.
All serve with pride, with bravery and with dignity. When they've completed their service, many return home safe and sound and are able to resume their normal lives with minimal adjustments. Others face difficulties that are not so easy to identify. Images of war that have been permanently burned into these brave individual's minds create hardships that we as civilians find difficult to understand. Others still come home with severe injuries that will impact their lives forever, as well as the lives of those who love them. All of these men and women deserve our gratitude, our respect and our remembrance.
