U.S. Paralympic Military Sports Camps

In partnership with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), the Wounded Heroes Foundation (WHF) offers an annual multi-day sports and recreation camp for injured military personnel with physical disabilities. Participants work with US Paralympic athletes and elite coaches from around the country to acquire skills in sports like archery, judo, tennis, track, rock climbing, wheelchair basketball, rowing, swimming, and more. Sports clinics are designed to provide these brave men and women with introductory experiences or advanced skill building opportunities, as well as the chance to improve self-confidence and to form vital social networks with their peers.

For the first time in February 2012, WHF and the RIC introduced a Winter Military Sports Camp, offering downhill skiing, sled hockey, cycling and SCUBA diving.
