Sentiments from Our Heroes and Others
The following are testimonials from various Heroes, fellow volunteers, and others that have been touched enough to let us know how we have impacted their lives. There is no better feeling than when we are able show one of our Wounded Soldiers the appreciation and respect they deserve.
After all, "if you have freedom, thank a Vet!"
"The foundation has done so much and has helped me and my family throgh a very rough time. I did not know how I was going to manage. Then there was Anna Sherony calling me to see what I needed. Telling me about things that I should have been told prior to being medically discharged. I cant express my gratitude only say thank you and god bless you.
Sincerely ,
Jose L Sanchez FMF CAC USN"
"The Wounded Heroes Foundation has been a source of relief for me and my family. Not only have they given us financial help, but also linked us with people and other organizations that have made my road to recovery less painful and less stressful. Anna, Chris, and their team have given me more peace than the government has given me money. If there is an organization that truly appreciates, cares about, and is all about the troop and their family...the wounded heroes foundation...

"I want you to know that I appreciate all that you do and are trying to do for the wounded soldiers. You have helped so much and it is so appreciated. Thank you for caring for us. If it had not been for your help we would have went bankrupt…
Thank you so much on behalf of all the wounded troops. God bless you…

"Before I was introduced to the Wounded Heroes Fund I didn't know very many guys like myself. I was basically limited to my friend and truck gunner, Sal, who had lost his leg in the same accident that momentarily took my life. Going to events with the other guys from the Wounded Heroes Fund has been some of the best times of my life, it's great to be able and go out with people that understand what I've been through, who aren't afraid to talk to you because they don't know what to say. I am utterly grateful to have the people of the Wounded Heroes Fund in my life it wouldn't be the same without them.

"Thank you so very much for everything you have done for our family. I cannot tell you how much you have helped us. Removing this financial burden will open doors to our home for the next month until Jeff leaves that will make things so much easier. Because of you and your organizations, Jeff will be able to go back to Iraq with proper safety gear and the tools that saved his life many times before he was injured on January 26, 2005. I realize you believe that families like ours are "the Heart of America". What you cannot understand is that the heart of America is people like you willing to give of your time. This country was built on volunteers who risked their lives for freedom. If it were not for people like you, stepping up to the plate to fill a need that arises, America would never have made it to 1776.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything. If there is ever anything our family can do to assist you or an organization you work with, please let us know. I cannot tell you how humbled we are with everything you have done already.

"Hello I am SSG Bunnell. I just got back from Iraq within the last month and it feels so good to be back. I am not asking for anything but I am very grateful for what you all have done for my nephew that got hurt in an IED attack in Iraq. He was hurt back in February while I was still in Iraq he was burned very badly and is doing a whole lot better. All the work that you all have done has lifted his spirit and made him a lot happier during his recovery time.
He is still recovering and has a long way to go but ever time he looks at his bag and jacket that you all gave him he smiles and thanks God that there are some wonderful people left in this world that really do care about us the soldiers and they give up some of their free time to make this happen. My hat is off to you and every one that makes this happen. A lot of soldiers know if they do get hurt, they will be taken care of by you all [just] to make them smile and have a better day and also a better recovery time. My nephew is SSG Patton, Evertt and he also thanks you very much.
God bless and have a great New Years.
Scouts Out!!!"
