12/20/08 HERO RECEIVES BRAND NEW

2009 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER

On December 20, 2008 at the Chicago Bulls game, Wounded Hero Lance Corporal Tim Lang was presented the keys to a brand new 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer.  Tim recently returned home to Ann Arbor, Michigan with his fiancé Sara, and will be working part time while going to school at Eastern Michigan. Tim's right leg was severed by an IED blast in Iraq in January 2007.  Corporal Lang's best friend and fellow Marine Josh Bliell also sustained injuries. The explosion claimed the lives of two additional soldiers who were seated in the front of the vehicle.

The Chicago Bulls also honored three of Tim's fellow Wounded Marines and one Navy SEAL. All hail from the greater Chicagoland area. These heroes include:

Marine Corporal Joshua Bleill

Specialist Steven Baskis

Lcpl Robert McCardle

Navy SEAL Petty Officer 1st Class Mark Robbins

Donations for the 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer were provided by The Wounded Heroes Foundation, Sammons Securities Company, the Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation, Boss Bar and Anna Davlantes.

The Wounded Heroes Foundation would like to extend special thanks to the Chicago Bulls, the Disabled Patriots Fund, Chevrolet of Naperville and Midwest Mobility.
